Our Staff

As Director of the Regional Assembly, Stephen carries overall responsibility for the administration of the Assembly & management of the Regional Operational Programme.

David joined the Regional Assembly in 2001 as Programme Executive and commenced as Assistant Director in August 2008. David assists the Director with the overall administration of the Assembly & management of the Regional Operational Programmes. In particular his responsibilities include the financial management & control of the Operational Programmes and servicing of the Monitoring Committees.

Derville joined the Assembly in 2002 and is the Research & Policy officer. She is also involved in the monitoring of the Operational Programme. Derville is the Communications Officer for the 2007 -2013 Regional Programme and is the Irish Language Officer for the Regional Assembly.

Sonja joined the Assembly in May 2008 and is involved in the management & monitoring of the Operational Programme, including certification of expenditure. Sonja also has a coordinating role with regard to Territorial Cooperation and is Secretary to the Employment & Social Inclusion Sub-Committee.

Sharon joined the Assembly as Programme Executive in October 2008. Her main areas of responsibility include Finance, Corporate Affairs & Human Resources. Sharon is also Secretary to the Infrastructure and Enterprise Promotion Sub-Committee.

Vincent joined the Regional Assembly in 2001 as Staff Officer and commenced as Programme Executive in November 2008. He is involved in the management & monitoring of the Operational Programme, including certification of expenditure. Vincent is also Secretary to the Regional and Rural Affairs Sub-Committee.

Michael joined the Assembly as Auditor in 2005. His responsibilities include verification of expenditure reported under the Operational Programme. Michael is also the First Level Controller for a number of Territorial Co-operation Programmes that S&ERA is associated with.

Orla joined the Assembly in November 2001 as an Assistant Staff Officer and in October 2007 became Project Officer with the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme. In February 2009 Orla commenced as Staff Officer where she is responsible for the day to day administration activities of the General Office. Orla assists with the Annual Financial Statements and Estimates and is also the Regional Assembly's Freedom of Information Officer.

Eve joined the Regional Assembly in 2001. Eve's role includes provision of administrative support to the Assistant Director and to the INTERREG NWE Programme. She is also responsible for the payment of Assembly Members allowances.

Karen joined the Assembly in October 2007. Karen's main duties include H.R. and personal assistant to the Director. Karen also assists the Staff Officer with day to day administration relating to Finance and Corporate Affairs and assists the Communications officer with information & publicity events.

Following the Director's appointment, Breda was next to join the staff of the Regional Assembly in 2000. Breda is currently work sharing in the area of Corporate Affairs, including provision of support for all meetings, members attendance at conferences, annual conference, phone, reception & post.

Oonagh joined the Assembly in 2002. Her duties include provision of administrative support in the management & monitoring area including organisation of financial management seminars. Oonagh also provides administrative support for monitoring committee meetings.

Yvonne joined the Assembly in 2006 and is currently work sharing, working Monday-Friday, 9.00-14.00. Her duties include payroll administration, phone, reception and post

Simon joined the Southern and Eastern Regional Assembly in September 2002 as Programme Liaison officer for the INTERREG Ireland Wales Programme and in April 2007 Simon then commenced as Head of Unit for the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme. As Head of Unit, Simon is responsible for the technical implementation of the Programme, servicing the Monitoring and Steering Committees, human resources management and financial budgeting for the Territorial Co-operation Programme.

Cathal commenced with the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme in August 2007. He is mainly responsible for the financial management of the Programme, as well as assisting with the general administration, human resource management and technical implementation of the Programme. Cathal responsibilities also include servicing the Monitoring and Steering Committees.

Rita joined the Ireland Wales Territorial Cooperation Programme in April 2008. Her duties as Project Officer include dealing with enquiries from project sponsors, dealing with grant payment claims and assisting with the financial management of the programme. Rita also assists with servicing the programme monitoring and steering committees.

Breda joined the Southern and Eastern Regional Assembly in 2003 as a Clerical Officer and commenced as a Project Officer with the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme in February 2009. Her duties as Project Officer include analysing and appraising project applications, dealing with grant payment claims, preparing briefing papers for Monitoring and Steering Committees, dealing with enquiries both from people interested in applying for funding and project managers of approved projects and also assisting with the financial management of the programme.

Siobhan began with the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme in June 2008. Siobhain is based in Waterford within the JTS and is available to assist Irish project promoters to develop partnerships in consultation with the Welsh Development Officers, provide guidance regarding the preparation of funding applications and ongoing advice and support to organisations for the proper implementation of their project.

Emma joined the Programme in August 2011. Her duties include dealing with grant payment claims and assisting with the financial management of the Programme. of the programme.

Caitriona joined the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation Programme in January 2008. Caitriona is responsible for general office management, finance administration and assists the other officers with their work.

Edel joined the Ireland Wales Territorial Co-operation in March 2008. Edel is responsible for general office management, finance administration and assists the other officers with their work.
