SIC adapt! is finalist of the RegioStars Awards 2012
SIC adapt! a Strategic Initiative Cluster (SIC) of the INTERREG IV B North West Europe (NWE) Programme applied under category 2 - Sustainable Growth - and will compete there with four other nominated finalists.University College of Cork (Ireland) representing the IMCORE project partnership is one of the lead partners.
On Monday 16 January 2012 all finalists made a presentation to the jury in Brussels and the RegioStars Awards ceremony will take place on 14 June 2012 at the occasion of the Regions for Economic Change Conference.

SIC adapt! is a Strategic Initiative Cluster (SIC) of the INTERREG IV B North West Europe (NWE) Programme
The cluster deals with adaptation to the impacts of climate change. Eight approved transnational projects originating from seven Member States of the NWE Programme with around 100 partner organisations are involved joining public authorities from all levels, scientific institutions, non profit and private organisations.
Each partner deal with the effects of climate change, possible adaptation strategies and look for sustainable, cost-efficient, good-practice solutions in the four main sectors:
- urban areas
- water / river / coasts
- nature / forest / agriculture
- social aspects.
